PROPOSED PACKAGE STORE NEAR
SIXES MILL
DENIED
In late 2016 a proposal to build a package store at the location of the old shuttered Shell station near the Sixes Road Mill area. Although businesses are needed in this area to serve local residents, the owner of the previous business was proven not to be the best community partner for the Sixes area.
Although Debra encourages quality businesses to seek out this area, she could not get behind this proposal and did fight hard to see it not come to fruition. This had more to do with the history of the poor quality business practices on file with county, city and state records.
A business owner who had a history of selling to minors is never a good idea! (source: City of Holly Springs FOIA documents)
