The explosive growth requires a steady hand at the helm. Over the 16 years Debra and her family have lived in Cherokee County, she has developed solid working relationships within county leadership and citizens.  A team player, Debra will work toward keeping our communities safe, an enjoyable place to live and work, and try to balance our citizens desire for quality living, in a trying time of exponential growth.

Using her experience putting together proposals for clients over the years, as a Governmental Consultant working mainly under the Gold Dome.  Debra created a vision for the Sixes Road Corridor in 2017. The plan for the community to consider and realized that some of the ideas could transfer county wide! She met with city and county leadership with a prepared vision board document and video presentation.  Chairman Buzz Ahrens, County Commissioner Bob Kovacs, and City of Holly Springs Mayor Miller and City Manager met with her to discuss the possibilities.  It was very constructive.  A livable community of trails, architecturally pleasing design, parks and more. It was realized that some of the ideas, not all, but some, could be used county wide in the future.  There were possibilities.  See it here

Although It is important to encourage quality growth, it would be healthy for us our infrastructures to catch up to the already strained demands. A balanced approach is a healthy approach.  We all want excellent and safe schools for our children, low millage (tax) rates, and working toward better transportation to navigate the roadways for work, school and play.  Debra seeks to work for all citizens to have the quality of living we all desire.
