APARTMENTS & THE COUNTY UPDATE - SIXES CORRIDOR / GRESHAM MILL AREA.

I have been contemplating on this open County Commissioners seat and who is going to realllllyyyyy protect us (and other communities along Sixes). It occurred to me many of you may not realize there is an ongoing lawsuit with Alliance (apartment developer), who proposed the apartments behind the Falls of Cherokee Subdivision. The land is located between the new Wellstar Health Park and the Aquatic Center. Although the C.U.P. was denied by the City of Holly Springs, Alliance is currently suing the city over the decision. In addition, Cherokee County owns the property, and has joined with Alliance in the lawsuit. So basically the County is suing to help get apartments there as well.

If Alliance and the county win, we will have to face the possibility of more apartments. So when you go to vote in March for a new commissioner - be sure to ask them - "WILL YOU ASK THE COUNTY TO WITHDRAW THEIR LAWSUIT!?" The county wants to sell the property to make the money off the property to put back in to the budget. PLEASE KEEP PUSHING FOR NO MORE APARTMENTS! AND A COMMISSIONER THAT WILL FIGHT FOR US!

I am providing 3 apartment maps above. It is obvious why we want to live here in the Sixes Community.

KEEP FIGHTING A GOOD FIGHT EVERYONE! THANKS FOR GOING TO PUBLIC HEARINGS AND MEETINGS!
